If you deliver the software immediately, the checkout should explicitly ask for immediate performance and the loss of the withdrawal right where legally required.

  • Show the withdrawal notice before purchase, not only after payment.
  • Do not pre-tick consent checkboxes for immediate delivery or waiver statements.
  • Store the exact consent text, timestamp, and checkout reference.
Subscriptions

Recurring services and cancellation

  • Monthly or yearly subscriptions usually need clear term, renewal, and cancellation information before checkout.
  • If you target German consumers, plan for a compliant cancellation flow or cancellation button.
  • Keep refunds, prorated charges, and already used service periods clearly documented.
