01 · Pair

Connect the add-on to the local Setvyn instance.

Open the Reddit Collector settings in Setvyn and generate a short-lived, one-time pairing code. Enter it in the add-on to establish local access. The resulting add-on token stays in the browser's extension storage and can be replaced by pairing again.

  1. Open Reddit Collector settings in Setvyn.
  2. Generate a one-time pairing code.
  3. Enter the code in the add-on within five minutes.
  4. Confirm the local connection before collecting data.

Trust note · A pairing code can be used once and is blocked after repeated failed attempts. Reloading the Setvyn pairing page creates a new code.

02 · Collect

Capture supported information from the page you are reviewing.

Open a supported Reddit community, rules, search, or post page and let the add-on extract the visible fields needed by Setvyn. Collection can start from the active page or from a queued Setvyn collection task.

  • Community name, title, description, audience, and availability signals where visible

03 · Use

Turn collected page data into reusable local records.

The add-on returns supported results to the local Setvyn endpoint. Setvyn validates and imports the data so it can support community comparison, opportunity search, analytics, and future planning decisions.

This is an import workflow, not a promise of live synchronization with all of Reddit.

The Collector does not bypass the browser or Reddit.

The add-on works only with supported data visible to the current browser session. It does not bypass login, CAPTCHA, rate limits, quarantines, private-community access, deleted content, or other platform restrictions.

Reddit Collector FAQ

Does the Collector need my Reddit password?

No. It uses the Reddit session already active in the supported browser. Do not enter Reddit credentials into Setvyn.

What information can it collect?

It can collect supported community, rule, and post fields that are visible on compatible Reddit pages. Available fields depend on the page and current browser access.

Can it access private or deleted content?

No access beyond the current browser session is promised. The Collector does not bypass private access, deleted content, quarantines, CAPTCHAs, or other restrictions.

Where is the collected information stored?

Supported results are imported into the local Setvyn workspace for discovery, analytics, and planning workflows.

Is this the same as Community Discovery?

No. The Collector brings supported visible data into Setvyn. Community Discovery searches and compares the records already stored there.
